PolyOne New Materials Farewell to Bisphenol A

The latest test of the PolyOne Kelvin Thermoplastic Elastomers division shows that GLS new thermoplastic elastomers and Eastman Chemical's new copolyesters have an excellent combination of effects. The material does not contain bisphenol A and can meet the market demand for children's products, sports and leisure products, and household products.

The company said that GLS Thermoplastic Elastomers can make product design more flexible, improve product slip resistance and other properties, and can take into account ergonomics and sealing functions, thus making the product easier to use. This material can be over-molded and bonded with a variety of copolyesters manufactured by Eastman for use in boiling water and thermal cycling applications such as automatic dishwashers.
