Abstract : By comparing the shear strength and compressive strength of the cured resin obtained from the same curing agent low molecular weight polyamide resin 650# in bisphenol A, bisphenol F, and bisphenol A/bisphenol F systems, the results were compared. The difference in performance, with the priority to get a good strength of the cured system.

l. Foreword All compounds containing epoxy groups are collectively referred to as epoxy compounds. Epoxy resin is a general term for a class of polymers containing two or more epoxy groups in the molecular structure of an epoxy compound. Because the chemical activity of the epoxy group can be opened by a variety of active hydrogen-containing compounds, cross-linking curing to generate a network structure, it is classified in the thermosetting resin category.
Epoxy resins are mainly used in paints, electrical insulating materials, glass steel, adhesives and civil construction, among which coatings account for more than 40%, mainly used in anticorrosive paints, ships and automotive paints, etc.; in corrosion resistance In terms of glass fiber reinforced plastic, due to the development of unsaturated polyester, the proportion of foreign epoxy resin has been reduced. However, due to the late development of unsaturated polyester in China, epoxy resin is still one of the major resin varieties of corrosion-resistant fiberglass, widely used. For storage tanks, pipelines, towers, fans, chimneys, and building preservation. At present, due to the rapid development of semiconductor encapsulation materials and printed circuit board materials, the application of epoxy resin in electrical components has been greatly developed. The chemical structure of epoxy resin is characterized by the presence of epoxy groups on the macromolecular chains. Due to the different methods of producing epoxy groups, the raw materials used are different, and the types of epoxy resins produced are also different. It can be selected according to the different requirements for resin strength, corrosion resistance and electrical properties. The most important one is bisphenol A epoxy resin, which accounts for about 90% of the total weight. Epoxy resins used for corrosion resistance are mainly of this type.
With different reaction conditions, different molecular weight resins with n=0 to 20 can be obtained. Low molecular weight products with n values ranging from zero to close to 1 are liquid and are commonly used to make fiberglass; when n equals 1 or greater than 1, the resin is a brittle, thermoplastic solid that is typically used as a coating. The commonly used resin in anticorrosion is bisphenol A type epoxy resin, its grade and specification are shown in Table 1.
